Sinkane with David Byrne and Damon Albarn

I have been playing electric guitar in the band, Sinkane. We have been asked to be the core band on a project to celebrate the music of William Onyeabor. William is an enigmatic musician from Nigeria, who after 7 successful years and 8 records renounced his music career and disappeared (Here is a link to a documentary and here is an NPR feature). Luaka Bop discovered his music and have released a compilation and are releasing an 8 LP set which will feature all of his EXTREMELY rare records.
Money Mark (Beastie Boys) and Pat Mahoney (LCD Soundsystem) will round out the band and we will be joined by musicians like, Joshua Redman in the horn section and the Lijadu sisters, who havent performed in 30 years. The guest vocalists will be; David Byrne, Damon Albarn (Blur, Gorillaz), Alexis Taylor (Hot Chip) and more. This project will be playing in London and Bristol before heading back to the states to play 2 shows in NY and 2 shows in California.
